Nebraska Furniture Mart operates the two largest
volume home furnishing stores in North America.
We have a tradition of offering our customers a
huge selection at great prices in furniture, flooring,
appliances, electronics and computers. Our goal
is to excite, entertain and exceed customer expectations
on a daily basis.
Founded in an Omaha basement in 1937 by the
Blumkin family, is now held by billionaire
investor Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway
retail group. Nebraska Furniture Mart’s flagship
facility, located in Omaha, offers consumers
furniture, floor coverings and major appliances, in
addition to consumer electronics. NFM also
operates a second 1 million-square-foot superstore
and distribution facility outside Kansas City, KS
and a smaller suburban retail center offering
flooring, appliances and electronics near
Des Moines, IA.
NFM continues to innovate its showrooms.
During 2009, NFM is remodelong its electronics
and appliance showrooms in its Kansas City
store. Early this year, NFM completed its
major renovation of its Des Moines showroom
and celebrated its Re-Grand Opening during
the summer. |
