Founded in an Omaha basement in 1937
by the Blumkin family, NFM is now held
by billionaire investor Warren Buffett’s
Berkshire Hathaway retail group. NFM’s
flagship facility is located in Omaha,
Nebraska. NFM operates its newest retail
facility in Kansas City, Kansas and a smaller
suburban retail center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Stretching 80 acres across the expansive
retail campus, the Kansas City addition is
truly awesome in size, selection, innovation
